Terms of use
Terms of Use: Trepni
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Version: 1.4
By using the Trepni app you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
1. Who provides the service
Trepni is provided by Vahid Kavazović, Podgorica, Montenegro, email podrska@trepni.app ("we", "us").
2. What Trepni is, and what it is not
Trepni is an informational road safety app for Montenegro. It shows speed camera locations from public project documents and reports submitted by users: speed cameras, road crashes, road hazards and general traffic checks. The app also shows emergency and roadside assistance numbers (SOS), which your phone dials.
Trepni is not:
- a radar detector: it uses no hardware and no signal detection,
- a means of tracking the police: a traffic check is reported only as a general point on the road that expires on its own within 2 hours at most, with no data about officers or official vehicles,
- a navigation system you may rely on instead of road signs,
- a guarantee that speed enforcement is or is not present at any location.
The app does not exist to help anyone avoid legal responsibility. It exists so a driver can bring their speed within the limit in time.
3. Responsibility while driving
This is the most important provision of these terms.
- Obeying traffic law and speed limits is entirely your responsibility, regardless of what the app does or does not show.
- Do not operate your phone while driving. Configure the app before you set off. Using a phone while driving is an offence and is dangerous.
- The absence of an alert does not mean there is no speed enforcement ahead.
- Alerts cover enforcement points and driver reports (crashes, road hazards, traffic checks) ahead of you, in your direction of travel and within the app's range. You can turn off alerts for individual report kinds in Profile. When you drive a route, alerts cover only the points and reports on that route. If you leave the route the app recalculates it, but a point or report on a road that is not part of the route may not trigger an alert.
- Displayed speed limits are informational; only the road sign is authoritative.
- We are not liable for fines, administrative or criminal proceedings, vehicle damage, personal injury or any other loss arising from your participation in traffic.
4. Who may use the app
The app may be used by people aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian. Some features (reports, votes) require an account.
5. Accounts
- Registration details must be accurate.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything done through your account.
- One person may hold one account. Creating additional accounts to evade limits or a ban is prohibited.
- You may delete your account at any time: Profile → Account → Delete account.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.
6. User-generated content
Reports (of radars with their tags and speed limit, of road crashes, road hazards and traffic checks), votes on reports, votes on whether a camera is in place, and speed-limit suggestions are content created by users. The user who submitted it is responsible for it. Reporting a traffic check on the road as a general point is allowed.
6.1 Zero tolerance
We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You may not submit:
- offensive, obscene, threatening or discriminatory content,
- content attacking anyone on the basis of nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation or any other personal characteristic,
- personal data about any individual (names, licence plates, photographs, descriptions of people or vehicles),
- reports of alcohol or drug checkpoints,
- photographs, names or descriptions of police officers and official vehicles,
- data that tracks the movement of the police, and reports intended to obstruct the police in their work,
- deliberately false reports,
- advertising, spam or links,
- content that infringes anyone's copyright or other rights.
Content that breaches these rules is removed and the account that submitted it is banned, temporarily or permanently. In cases of serious breach we do so without prior notice. On request to podrska@trepni.app we will explain the reason.
6.2 Reporting and blocking
For every report submitted by another user you can:
- report the content you consider objectionable, with a reason (e.g. no radar there, wrong place, inappropriate): we review it within 24 hours,
- block the user, after which you no longer see their content. A blocked user is not told they are blocked.
You can also report objectionable content directly to podrska@trepni.app.
6.3 Rights in your content
You keep the rights to the content you submit. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to display it to other users, process it, combine it with other data, and use it to operate and improve the app, for as long as the service runs.
6.4 Moderation
Reports are not reviewed before they are published. They pass automated checks: at most 5 reports per hour, and a new report at least 300 m from your own active report of the same kind. Other drivers confirm or reject them. Three confirmations mark a report as confirmed, and three rejections, when they outnumber confirmations, remove it. Reports expire on their own by kind, and confirmations can extend them. Our team reviews reported content. We cannot guarantee that every objectionable item is caught immediately, but we remove it as soon as we become aware of it.
7. Accuracy
Data may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed or out of date. Enforcement may be present where nothing is shown, and absent where something is. Driver reports may be inaccurate or out of date and expire on their own. Emergency numbers in SOS are dialled by your phone; we do not guarantee the call will go through, for example without signal or on a device without a phone. Speed limits in the app are indicative until an official source confirms them; drivers' votes never mark them as confirmed. Routes, distances and travel times are estimates from routing services and do not account for every closed section or traffic change.
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, availability, uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Availability
We aim for continuous operation but may interrupt the service for maintenance, technical problems, or reasons beyond our control (network, GPS, operating system, data source). We may change, add or withdraw features.
9. Prohibited use
You may not:
- harvest data automatically (scraping, bots, bulk queries),
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent security measures,
- resell, redistribute or commercially exploit data from the app without our written consent,
- use the app in a way that disrupts other users or burdens our infrastructure,
- use the app contrary to the law of Montenegro or of the country you are in.
10. Intellectual property
The name "Trepni", the logo, design, source code and location database are ours or licensed to us. You acquire no rights other than the right to use the app under these terms.
Third-party data:
- Road geometry, speed limits and settlement names: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence (opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl).
- Camera locations: public project documents of the speed enforcement system in Montenegro, and drivers' reports. This app is not an official app of the police or any state body and is not affiliated with them.
- Map rendering: Apple Maps or Google Maps, subject to those services' terms.
- Place search and street routing: Apple, Google, Mapbox, Geoapify, Photon (komoot) and OpenRouteService (HeiGIT), subject to those services' terms; OpenStreetMap data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or non-material loss, lost profit, or loss arising from:
- reliance on data in the app,
- unavailability of the service, loss of GPS signal or a missing alert,
- content submitted by other users,
- proceedings brought against you.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for intent and gross negligence, nor any consumer rights you have under the law of Montenegro or your own country.
12. Price
The app is free in this version. If we introduce paid features, they will be clearly marked, and we will not retroactively charge for features that are free today.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will announce material changes in the app at least 15 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may stop using the app and delete your account.
14. Termination
You may stop at any time by deleting your account and the app. We may withdraw access if these terms are breached. The provisions on intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law survive termination.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
The law of Montenegro applies. The competent court in Podgorica has jurisdiction, save that a consumer keeps any right to bring proceedings before the courts of their own place of residence where their national law provides it.
16. Apple-specific terms
For users who download the app from the App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple Inc.
- Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- We alone are responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no support obligation.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other obligation with respect to the app.

- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo and are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-party list.
